package.json, Cargo.toml and tauri.conf.json all said 0.1.0 because three scaffolds said so and nothing ever changed them. The database is complete and the thing is in use, so 1.0.0, in all three plus both lockfiles. A changelog, starting now. It records that the working notes moved to the wiki and that this repository's history was not rewritten -- the CLAUDE.md was untracked, so there was never anything in the history to remove. Kingdom Cheat: Deliverance 2
A game overlay for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II with a searchable database of console commands, items, perks, buffs and skills. Fill in the parameters, hit Copy, and paste the finished command into the game console.
- Overlay: frameless, semi-transparent, always-on-top window toggled with a
global hotkey (default
Ctrl+Shift+K); lives in the system tray - Quick Cheats: money, skills & XP, god mode, repair, unlocks, teleport, saving
- Commands: ~120 commands — vanilla
-devmodecommands and the Nexus "Cheat" mod'scheat_*commands, each badged by requirement, with argument forms and examples - Items / Perks / Buffs / Skills: ~4,900 items, ~880 perks, ~560 buffs and all skills with IDs — set amount/condition/level and copy a ready-made command
Game setup
- Borderless window: set the game's display mode to borderless window (an overlay cannot draw above exclusive fullscreen).
- devmode commands (green badge): add
-devmodeto the game's launch options (Steam → right-click the game → Properties → Launch Options). Open the in-game console with~/`. - Cheat mod commands (purple badge): install the free
Cheat mod
from Nexus Mods (also requires
-devmode).
Usage
- Press the global hotkey (default
Ctrl+Shift+K) or click the tray icon to show/hide the overlay. Closing the window only hides it; quit from the tray menu. - Change the hotkey, overlay opacity, preferred command flavor, autostart and start-hidden behavior in Settings.
- Wayland note: global hotkeys are unreliable on Wayland. Bind
kcd2-overlay --toggleto a compositor shortcut instead — a second launch toggles the running instance.
Building
Prerequisites: Rust, Node.js 20+, and on Linux the Tauri system deps
(libwebkit2gtk-4.1-dev libgtk-3-dev libayatana-appindicator3-dev librsvg2-dev).
npm install
npm run tauri dev # development
npm run tauri build # release bundles (deb/AppImage on Linux, NSIS/MSI on Windows)
Windows builds are produced by the CI workflow in .github/workflows/build.yml
(GitHub Actions / Gitea Actions with a Windows runner), or locally from Linux
with cargo-xwin:
rustup target add x86_64-pc-windows-msvc
sudo apt-get install clang lld llvm nsis # llvm provides llvm-rc, needed for resource embedding
npm run tauri build -- --runner cargo-xwin --target x86_64-pc-windows-msvc
The exe and NSIS installer land in
src-tauri/target/x86_64-pc-windows-msvc/release/ (first run downloads the
Windows SDK to ~/.cache/cargo-xwin).
Data
Game data under src/data/ is generated from the
pryans/kcd2-cheat repository (the
source of the Nexus Cheat mod) and vendored so builds are offline:
node scripts/fetch-data.mjs # refresh items/perks/buffs/skills + command docs
commands-vanilla.json and quick-cheats.json are hand-curated from
community command lists.
